1: The Fifth Step, a new play by @davidireland219 for @ntsonline beautifully written with weighted dialogue. It’s serious, but also incredibly funny. Brilliant acting by @jack.lowden and Sean Gilder. Showing as part of @edintfest 📷 @mihaelabodlovic

2. First show of @edfringe was to see my daughter @cosiaslangul in The Twisted Chronicles from @politicatproductions a satirical work offering an absurd and unique reinterpretation of some of the pivotal moments in history. Fun, fast paced, and yes we saw it twice

4: ‘An Irish Impressionist - Lavery on Location’ at the Royal Scottish Academy. Sir John Lavery’s extraordinary life and travels from Scotland took in New York via Paris and Morocco, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland and Italy, as well as cities such as Glasgow, Seville, Monte Carlo and New York. Always travelling with his easel he recorded all he saw. This solo exhibition is well worth the visit and is on until 27 October @natgalleriessco

5: Edinburgh sights

6:Deadheads - a deftly written drama about two sisters whose relationship is delicately observed and traced over two decades. Written by Maddie Lynes @threesistersproductions18 and acted by @grainnedrom and @maria_pointer The writing has a lovely layered quality, with the tone changing from hostile to teasing to silly, affectionate and prickly again. Well worth seeing and coming to @theatre503 in Battersea in Sept

8:Based on over 70 interviews award-winning @tending_play by @elcblackwood explores the lives of our NHS nurses. This powerful piece of verbatim theatre tells the stories of those nurses beautifully played by @maraallen_ Ben Lynn and Blackwood herself.
