Oh hello autumn 🍂 it feels like you’ve arrived.

It’s time to turn our thoughts to mudrooms or boot rooms - depending which side of the pond you’re on!

This hallway is part of a country house project in England where the garage was annexed to the main house. The garage space was transformed into the boot room, gun room, utility room and linked to the house with this hallway which has glass doors opening on to an outside dining area on the left and the pantry on the right. By adding thick curtains we both elevated the space and prevented this becoming a draughty passage. The @t1nsmiths fabric we used to line them makes sure they look as good from the outside as they do from within.

Top tip: we think it’s important to look at spaces from all angles and so if you’re sitting outside in the summer having dinner it’s so nice to see a lovely fabric in the window rather than a dull lining. It’s those details which make such a difference.

And we have lift off … Exciting times as we begi

And we have lift off … Exciting times as we begin the sensitive renovation of our much loved house on the Ile de Ré. Built around 1840 it was once owned by the village Mayor and only doctor on the island. It has been bashed about quite a bit over the years to suit its various incarnations, with the latest renovations being carried out in the 1970s … & we all know that means

We’ve spent a long time putting together the right team for the job and had our first site meeting to review the beginning of the stripping out phase

So so exciting!! 👷‍♀️🔨🏡

Thrilled to bits to see this feature in the current issue of @maisonsetambiances showcasing a traditional chalet we worked on in Switzerland.

We were commissioned to redecorate this 1930s chalet retaining it’s old world charm. The natural materials we chose reflect the mountain surroundings and we paired them with luxurious wool fabrics to create a cosy alpine retreat
