We leaned into a neutral palette using the colours of the beach, mixed bespoke with vintage pieces, and created a sense of place through the use of colour and texture. “Our little slice of heaven” - wonderful words from our client and music to my ears. Thank goodness for the iPhone 😌 As someone who lov Thank goodness for the iPhone 😌 As someone who loves to travel and is constantly taking photographs, I now have over 84,000 images stored on my phone, some might call it an obsession but I think of it as a working archive of colour, pattern and form. From fashion to Florentine façades, from painted walls in India to the geometry of the salt marshes on the Île de Ré, what I see continually informs my work and the colour palettes I work with. When @johnboydhorsehairfabric approached me to collaborate on their first new horsehair fabric in over twenty years, this stash of photos proved invaluable. The accumulated fragments of colour and proportion became the foundation for developing the stripe combinations within the collection.
