It’s so lovely to give a new lease of life to mu

It’s so lovely to give a new lease of life to much loved family antiques and to make something special of a tiny guest bedroom. Sharing this charming bedroom we designed around the antique baldaquin bed which has been in the client’s family for several generations, passed down father to son. I love how the @ninacampbellltd wallpaper works with the fret work at the end of the bed which you can just glimpse in the foreground. We made elegant bed drapes with a plain fabric from @titleyandmarr and lined them with a slubby silk from @jamesharefabric finished off with a fan trim from @samuelandsons

This is one of my favourite entrances ever and I am so thrilled to have this project featured in this month’s @englishhomemag. I love the warm welcome of the always overflowing baskets of logs and pine cones ready for the many fireplaces in the house. The wallpaper is hand block printed by the wonderful team @galbraithandpaul and the paint colour below it is Eau de Nil from @edwardbulmerpaint. We had the original parquet restored which came up a treat.

Don’t you love to try new hotels? This time we

Don’t you love to try new hotels? This time we went nostalgic French style at the Duc de St Simon. It’s a wonderfully authentic cosy small hotel fantastically located just off blvd St Germain. I’ve had a stinking cold and lost my voice but the lovely staff popped a pot of honey on my morning coffee tray every day - so thoughtful. Thank you for a charming stay.

Where do you recommend we stay next time we’re in town? All bonnes adresses welcome especially as I need to surprise Mr A, my favourite born and bred Parisian!
